Radio Frequency Electronic Engineer
We build Radio Units (RUs) that work as high-speed, secure, jam-resistant data pipelines for defence and dual-use applications — the connective tissue for UAV C2, deployable 5G, and tactical awareness systems.
Our pipeline is full of customers — defence primes, armed forces, industrial operators — who want our RU in their hands. Our job now is to turn boards into working hardware, fast, and ship them.
We are now looking for an RF Electronic Engineer to join the team and increase our velocity—someone who wants to own the full hardware lifecycle to design, build, rework, test, and troubleshoot microwave radio hardware across our product range, and operate independently while doing it.
You'll be the person who turns boards into working hardware
The role
You'll work alongside our RF and Electronics Engineers in a small team where the work is shared and the boundaries are loose. Some days that means soldering and bringing up a new board. Other days it's running characterisation on the VNA, collaborating to solve complex RF problems, or driving your own design ideas into production. The work is whatever the team needs to move forward — and you should be the kind of person who's energised by that.
We're looking for a teammate who wants to be useful, learn fast, and earn their way deeper into the design work as they go. The runway here is real — we're growing, and the people who show up will shape what comes next.
What we're looking for
Solid RF & microwave fundamentals: The theoretical and practical foundation needed to interpret results, troubleshoot complex hardware methodically, and translate what you see on the spectrum analyzer into design improvements.
Hands-on with microwave test equipment — VNA, spectrum analyser, signal generator, oscilloscope. Comfortable above 1 GHz; experience above 10 GHz a strong plus.
Strong hands. Confident solderer with fine-pitch SMD and RF/microwave rework, comfortable working with small, sensitive components.
Curious, ambitious, and open. Happy to do what the team needs and grow into more.
Experience range is open — from strong recent graduates with serious project work, through to engineers with deep RF or microwave background looking to join something more interesting.
Bonus points for experience in the following: RF and system simulation (ADS, HFSS, CST, AWR, SystemVue, VSS, etc.), EDA tools (KiCad, Altium, etc.), active RF circuits, power management circuitry, EMC, waveguide experience, antenna measurements, high-speed digital interfaces (ADC/DAC, Ethernet, SerDes).
